1060 Fortnite

COTG

Does anybody have a 1060 and could verify if it is capable of playing fortnite at 1080p medium-low settings at around 144 fps?

yep. my 1050 2GB could do that back when i had one 4 months ago, so you can defidently do that with a 1060. i ran max settings at about 60FPS in game. so you could do max at possibly 100 FPS

I have a 950 and it can do it at about 100 fps, so you're probably fine.

Get a RX 570 however, has the same performance as a 1060 for the price of a 1050 Ti, and also Freesync.

Does freesync matter much at framerates above 100 fps? dont have any experience with it yet

No idea, but FreeSync does make a difference from what I've heard. FreeSync will only work if your monitor also supports FreeSync however (which is actually the case with most 144hz monitors, but do check if your monitor supports it).

Nowhere near the performance in this game...

And since we ARE. Talking about performance in this game... Well no. They arent on the same boat.

As for the question.

Yes the 1060 can push 144fps+ in 1080p for that 144hz.

144hz is lame. Just my opinion. Just turn off vsync and let the frames free

Image tearing and non smooth FPS game play,, vsync OFF is to show off 300fps ,, which you don't need.  vsync on with 144hz will result in much smoother game play and what not.

My monitor has built in vsync processing. It's got a quad core ARM CPU built into the mainboard.

It's also 1440p 120hz,

The 470 or 570 will perform faster than a 1050Ti but definitely not the same as a 1060.

The better comparison for a 1060 is a 580 or 590.
