Which ram to choose for Ryzen?

Hardly? You can run Ryzen with 2666 and it'll be just fine. 3200 is actually where diminishing returns kicks in hard.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Are you sure? They work for me.

 

Both kits are 3000mhz., Corsair CMK16GX4M2D3000C16 and Ballistix Tactical BLT16G4D30AETA

You get dual channel kit first, then pick the one with higher frequency. the Crucial Ballistix kit here seems to only be a single stick, so no dual channel and don't get my vote. The Corsair kit is better.

Made a mistake! They're both Dual Channel :)

Illustrated my point exactly. The 2666MHz kit doesn't render the games unplayable, but there's an appreciable uplift in performance using 3200. after that, higher speeds would yield much less performance increases.

Worth it is such a relative term. I would consider the performance shown in the video worth saving money with a 2666 kit.

Lower latency translates to higher performance. CAS stands for column access strobe, which relates to a very specific multiplier for data access speeds (there's also RAS and some other fun acronyms I've forgotten at the moment.)

oh yes, the 3000MHz kit here is definitely solid. I used a 3000 kit in my last Ryzen build, works like a charm. When you can afford it it's a definite recommend.

Ah the difference between 3000 and 3200mhz is quite small. The biggest increace in performance happens between 2133 to 3000 mhz. You said at least 3200 to be worth it which isn't really the case. Getting anything over 2133 makes a big difference and 3000 is probably the best if the price between 3000 and 3200 is anything more than 10 dollars.

Yeah I said screw it and got 3200 for my current system, still turned a profit selling my old parts so it was a good position to be in. I definitely can't tell the difference lol.
