That build looks perfect for given budget and the prices are basically the same here.

Also I just remembered that I have Radeon R9 380 4GB in my mining rig which I can use for this build, that would give me around 120 more euro. I could use it on better CPU/Mobo.

I plan on building a computer for some small (not that much power-hungry) server and office desktop. I am replacing a previous computer which was used for the same purpose, it is almost 7 years old so everything will be good upgrade but I am looking for future-proof build. I plan on building the PC for around 1000 euro. And the computer will be running 24h/365d.

I am thinking about a few things, in my opinion best cpu to go for is Ryzen 7 2700x as far as budget is considered, but I am still not 100% sure about that.

I have 2TB external HDD which I will use for it so I will only need NVMe/SSD and I am thinking about SSD 970 EVO NVMe M.2 500GB.

Also Monitor and peripherals are covered, so 1000 euro budget is purely for case components.

I would like to hear the opinion from community, as what build do you suggest. Are there any things I should avoid?

Oh yeah, I plan on using ECC registered memory modules(16 or 32 GB).

Ryzen can't use registered ECC, only unbuffered ECC. Also, I don't see a proper backup solution in place. When it's a machine that functions as a server for multiple people, data integrity should be high on your priority list.

Which country, by the way? It helps to get a general idea how much stuff costs for you.

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

Oh totally forgot to mention, there is already an active NAS backup for the server. Should I then go for Intel or use unbuffered ECC?

The location is Serbia and the prices here are around Amazon price +30% but I already accounted that. So for simplicity we can say 1200$ by Amazon prices.

Usually, Amazon Germany is pretty accurate for the majority of Europe, so here's my recommendation:

Yep. I'd stick to a 65W CPU if you can. Nice and efficient.
