Can I make a custom rom for Android TV?

Hi,

 

I've just been sick of waiting for Sony to release Oreo for my Android TV. So I decided to try an do some research if its possible to install Android Oreo whilst keeping the existing Sony applications for inputs and Live TV.

 

Anyone know if its possible to make a custom Android TV rom?
