I never implied a 60hz monitor as the choice.

Well to be honest, for a 580 an 100-120Hz monitor seems a better fit, to properly enjoy a 144Hz Monitor even at 1080p with how demanding some games are you'd need Vega or an 1070 gpu, plus a stronger cpu.

Do you know any good 120hz monitors you could link me too? They need to be less than 180$ cause thats the cost of the 144hz.

exactly! @Orbity please take note of this, since you might be able to save money for this reason.

Looks like all the 120hz and 100hz displays are 4k or 1440p monitors, so since you're getting an AMD card, try a 144hz monitor with freesync

The one you have linked has a worse response time. It's not the end of the world but I would personally take 1ms over 4ms since I play csgo

Yup, thats why it's not the end of the world. It's really not noticeable, and it probably wouldn't be to me since I have fairly average reaction time. csgo pros and other esports pros have very fast reaction time and thats where it matters.

I think i might go with the view sonic one not because of the 3ms difference in response time but im still not sure about the curve

I actually had the same debate as you, there's a samsung monitor thats 1440p and has a 4ms response time, and I almost ended up buying it, but there was an asus monitor that was 144hz, 1ms, and fit on my desk better since it was smaller. I think the curve in a monitor would probably make more of a difference when the monitor is larger and you have you move your eyes and head more. When you have a 24 inch, I think it makes less of a difference since you're not moving as much.

Yeah but it's still a budget unit. Also comes with the 'CX' branding's infamy.

Yeah, I guess. I mean if the OP can't find anything else than this is probably an ok choice.

This is the only monitor you should get in that price range, it has a VA* panel which beats the washed out colors on the TN.
