Help me identify original GTX 750 Ti

Go to solution Solved by NelizMastr,

GM107 checks out, yeah. If it was a GF1xx then you would've gotten a fake ass GTS450/550.

You're probably fine. If you think it's underperforming, you either have wrong drivers, overheating issues or your CPU is too slow to keep up.

Hello

I bought a Graphic Card from Ali Express

I opened GPU Z and submitted it to validation

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/details/bw6qu

I am having quite a doubt that this isn't original GTX 750 Ti 2GB

So I removed the cooler and remove thermal paste on the die and read this on the die

That's your issue..

It's an Aliexpress card. It won't be as good as an MSI or Gigabyte card.

Generally I've found Aliexpress cards are kinda ehh compared to their branded rivals. The cooling performance isn't always up to scratch.

sellers are free to sell GPUs from any brand on aliexpress, so OP or anyone else is just as likely to buy an MSI or gigabyte card there as any other brand.

Those parts are over 10 years old, so I'm not surprised it doesn't run that great.

4gb would be a pretty big bottleneck in just about any modern game nowadays, plus the q6600 is quite old.

the unbranded ones are more than likely outright scams than an actual GTX 750ti.

see if you can get an extra 2-4gb of ram in there, should help with performance for now.

Ya there lies my biggest issue

my mobo chipset is limited to 4 Gigs

At the time of purchase 4 GB was more than enough ?

i'd suggest saving up for an upgrade then, even an old i5 2400 would be a big performance upgrade.

Can confirm. Got an i5-2400 kit with H67 board and 8GB of RAM for like €100. And that wasn't even the cheapest option. Great value there for the budget shopper.

Well I guess you are right  I am a very casual gamer so I guess now the mobo+cpu+ram needs to be upgraded

I already added Antec 520 HCG Gaming power supply(which is an Overkill ) few years back  and a Samsung SSD

BTW

Thankyou @Everyone for helping me out

It really is a nice community ... Its hasn't been an Hour  and I have found  the solution
