do i need to worry

  • The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6.0 Gb/s port is disabled.

I just got this side note on the PC part picker website and because is my first build I don't want to mess up

these are the parts I'm using

CPU Intel - Core i5-9600K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor

CPU cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

motherboard Asus - PRIME Z390-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard

memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory

video card MSI - GeForce GTX 1070 Ti 8 GB Video Card

storage Samsung - 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive and Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

case Phanteks - Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case

power supply EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

so should I worry? also if anyone has any recommendations feel free to express them because they might help with this build Thanks

You're fine since you are only using 2 drives for the system. By using the M.2 slot on the motherboard, one or two of the motherboard SATA ports are typically disabled. You'll need to double check the mobo manual to determine which ports will get disabled and use the other 4 or 5 open ports.

As far as your build, I'd recommend a better cpu cooler, especially if you're thinking about overclocking.

Provide a PCPP link in the future, but you should be fine. It's just saying that since you are using a PCIE SSD, it uses the bandwidth of one of the SATA ports, but there are plenty on the board for you to connect your HDD.

Also the build looks okay; I'm sure someone will want to post a link suggesting you can get better price/performance with Ryzen 2600, but eh everything looks okay (depending on what kind of MSI 1070 TI that is, so I would suggest you to share your permalink pcpp.

Honestly I would go with a 1700x since you can get them for about the same price plus 2 additional cores.

Overpriced motherboard and the i5 9600K only makes sense if you'll OC it to 5ghz which is not advisable with just a Hyper 212 Evo which by itself is an outdated cooler.

EVGA G3 has a couple of issues that weren't present on its G2 line up making it an inferior product, might wanna looks over for Seasonic Focus Gold or Corsair TXM / RMx line ups.

About the storage itself there won't be any issue because you have multiple Sata 3 ports, losing one is not the end of the world when you're going for a single high capacity HDD.

There is a lot of confusion about that statement on the pcpartspicker website.

But it is as stated by others.

How many 6.0 ports does your mobo have?
