probably can make up the difference with a overclock on the gpu.

I would honestly wait until AMD releases their Navi GPUs next year. From what we know, it looks like they're going to perform very well for the money. I'm also in a situation where I'm looking to upgrade from a 1050 Ti and I'm waiting until AMD Navi comes out, and I suggest you do the same.
