Asus gx531gs Running hot?

Hello, new to the forums and new to gaming laptops. Recently purchased a Asus gx531gs with the 1070maxq. When playing Black ops 4 my GPU and CPU get pretty hot. Temps are about 85c for both GPU and CPU. I am running turbo mode with the asus armory crate. Laptop is on a solid surface and slightly elevated to keep off contact with my desk. What can I do to get the temperatures lower but maintain high settings on game settings?

 If you are comfortable with disassembling you laptop you should reapply thermal paste.

im not familiar with thermal pasting. is it difficult?

It depends on how comfortable you are with disassembling your laptop.
