why would you go to rtx? the only worthy upgrades are the titan and the 2080 ti. but those cost way too much rn

If u have money to burn get the best one. Otherwise just keep the 1080 ti its enough.

Alternatively use the on board graphics for increased fps.

The GTX 1080 Ti performs similarly to a RTX 2080, so that leaves you with the 2080 Ti and Titan RTX. The Titan RTX will be hella expensive, so just go with a RTX 2080 Ti.

Considering there is a single game that has RTX "fetures" at all, and your 1080 Ti performs identically to the 2080, the only "upgrade" is either the 2080 Ti or RTX TITAN and both cards offers terrible value as you're paying way too much for small performance uplifts.

I understand the whole bleeding edge enthusiast deal for people with big pockets but in this case it really is completely senseless to upgrade unless you really have enough money where it doesn't matter at all, and even so I'd go for the RTX TITAN for a truthful meaning performance bump.

the only RTX cards that would be considered an upgrade is the 2080ti and the Titan.

both of them 1200$++ cards. unless you have stolen money to spend, dont upgrade. Go grab a subscription to Chrunchyroll, Roosterteeth and some Manga site. it will offer you more value for money in terms of FPS

No. The GTX 1080 Ti is more than Competitive with the RTX 2080. Once DLSS starts to be implemented then I'd say the RTX 2080 would be better for the future, but we will have new GPUs on the horizon.

I'd stick with the 1080 Ti. The people who are going to get the RTX 2080 are those upgrading from a 980 or 980 Ti.
