Chrome: How to keep bookmarks bar folder menu open after opening a bookmark in a new tab?

Some of you may know what I'm talking about here (if you don't, you probably can't help me anyways).

On Opera, you can have a folder on your bookmarks bar with different bookmarks in it, just like in Chrome, but if you click on the folder and start middle clicking bookmarks to open them in new tabs, the folder menu stays open after each click. On Chrome, it closes and you have to click the folder to open the menu again after opening each tab.

Any idea on how to get Chrome to do this? Is there a chrome://flags setting that anyone knows of?

I searched and didn't find anything that looked relevant.

Not at desktop atm. But have you tried right click - open in new tab instead of middle button?
