How much cooler do I need for a non-k i7?

Zeke_

i'm going to buy an i7 7700 and am planning on getting another cooler. I want a low profile cooler as I'm not a fan of the tower coolers and am not interested in water cooling. I want to get the Cryorig C7 but I dont know if that will be enough cuz im not sure how hot these usually run. What's reccomended? Are there any better options

Anything but stock will do. Ranging from the L9i to the AR06, that C7 should be just fine, and stylish at that.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

If I may ask, why that particular CPU? It's obsolete in several ways for the price.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8Ghz w/ Arctic Freezer 33 Tower Cooler | MSI B450 Tomahawk |  32GB Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200MHz CAS 14

Sapphire RX 5700XT Pulse | EVGA 650w GQ 80+ Gold Semi-Modular  |  XPG SX6000 512GB Nvme SSD | NZXT H500

Acer XF270HU - 1440p 144Hz Freeesync IPS | Corsair Strafe - Cherry MX Red  |  Logitech G502

Very stylish, I've got a white themed build going on so I think it will look nice.

I ran my 8700K at stock speeds with the stock cooler from my i5 4690K for a few days before my AIO arrived. Wasn't the most quiet setup, but it worked.

Cryorig C7 is great, or grab the H7 if you want a little more silence and better cooling.
