860 EVO stuck on formatting.

Help, my 860 EVO is stuck formatting and has been doing this for days. I wiped it and it still doesn't work. Please help me figure out how to fix it. Thanks

What software are you using to format the drive?

If you haven't already, try using Samsung Magician to Secure Erase the drive, then try to reinitialize and format it. If that fails and since the SSD is still under warranty, contact Samsung for an RMA (unless it's in the vendor's return window, in which case apply for an RMA with the vendor).

Yes, it worked when I first installed windows, but now that i migrated data and samsung magician wiped it, it doesn't work.

Try EaseUs it tends to work when windows is being weird https://www.easeus.com/partition-master/format-hard-drive-in-windows-10.html

I'm using the trial version of EaseUS and I need to upgrade from trial version to wipe my drive.... whats the point of a trial?

Are you over the device limit for the trial? I use it all the time and haven't bought a licence. Probably should now that I think of it. It's good software

I literally have it on one device and without an account on 3 drives is this over the limit?

Just downloaded the software again and ran into the same issue. They must have changed their licencing model. It used to be freeware under X devices and their were some pro features
