This is a build for a friend. First time into the Gaming PC world. A £600 budget with the "best bang for your buck" in mind. It is for gaming most of the time with the odd other tasks that anything would handle.

It looks good for the money with a i5 4570 and GTX 770. I just want your opinion before we buy it and build it.

Would be a lot better with one of the AMD FX series processors.

Isn't the 280X still much more expensive than the 770?

Overall it is but on some websites it's around £20 cheaper.

I think it should be ok, though it might be at the minimum of what the build would need. There are lots of power supply calculators out there that are useful, here's one:

It's on the tight side for a 280x. I'd stick with the cx600.
