FPS stuck @ 67fps without vsync on. wtf

So wow I have adopted this and welcomed Fast option in nv panel,  Its amazing, no tearing and blurry crap... its soo nice,, one problem. My fps is stuck @ 67fps ......... and my vsync is set to off in the game. Shouldn't it fly up to 80fps or more.  Also whats weird is 67hz is what I run in the desktop but at 4k resolution.  This is 1080p Im doing with Quake Champions and UT alpha both same results.  any help would be appreciated.  thx

What is your CPU usage at in that particular game with Fast Sync on?  And when you turn it off?

Its the same wheter set to vsync on or off or fast,,,, it goes to 67fps ,,,,,, sighs

just set the res at 4k ultra settings

 

at least then it wont be at 67

My video card can not handle 4k .... and money doesn't grow on tree's here in sunny Los Angels ...

How can you have 2x4k monitors but use a mainstream GPU and no money to get a beefy GPU to get the most of those 4k monitors? It's just ridiculous

And when they buy a 1080Ti or 2080Ti, they'll just use it for web browsing, Microsoft Office, youtube and fortnite

I would rather to have a single strong beefy GPU and a single/multiple non-4k monitor and play some games with really high frame per seconds while enabling Vsync on that, than a weak GPU for multiple 4k monitors which cannot be handled by the GPU itself to get the most of the monitor..

That's exactly what I did. Having a 1080Ti with my 1080p monitor which I'm very pleased with it. It's really hard to find a good monitor that fits my needs and requirements. And it being a 1080p is not bad at all because of DSR. So I can still play games at 1440p or 2160p depending which games they are.
