2700X vs 9900K

Hello techies

 

I hope you guys can help me get to the bottom of my question.

I want to know if I should buy an 8700K, 9900K or a 2700X.

My dad will possibly pay for something of the 9900K (if that is the one), so think of these two at the same price points (maybe 9900K $100-$200 more expensive) - (I may also possibly be able to get the 9900K around $100-$200 more expensive than the 8700K)

I want to know which is best for when I livestream games or just generally play games.

I would also like to know about the thermals etc.

If money is not a concern then the 9900K will do everything the 2700X will do, but better for gaming and streaming.  Just remember the CPU AND the motherboard will cost more.

The 9900k is better if you're not restricted by money. The 9900k is a better CPU but is really expensive and so are z390 motherboards which they should be paired with. The 2700x is pretty good for gaming but is close when it comes to streaming and editing, etc.

9900K will cost more and have horrible thermals. It will also be faster at gaming though

The 9900k is better, but with much worse thermals and power consumption. I would say that the 2700x with a decent board and ram would be a better purchase since you can upgrade to zen 2 or 3 while using the same motherboard and ram.
