MATX can vary a lot.  Some are compact, and others are just only slightly less bulky than a ATX case.  Unlike some MITX cases, MATX will support more components and cooling solutions.  Cases with metal and glass will weigh more than cheaper materials.

I'm surprised by how much the Core V21 weights. It looks like a cheaply made plastic box from the outside, but itsn;t.

First of all thanks for the improved formatting of the text.

Second, what's the point of this?  Umm... to collect information relevant to a specific concern about smaller form factor builds all in one thread as a reference, for current cases or any new ones coming out.  To compare the weights of cases objectively, as some might falsely look heavier/lighter than others based on pictures.

Third, not sure why you have an attitude, but I guess you care enough about it and find enough value out of it to format it correctly.

Why would you care about weight?

You're buying mATX case because it's smaller, because it may find inside a specific volume better (for example in a desk, though it's not cool) ... the weight is basically irrelevant unless you want to hang the pc on some wires or like a vesa mounted monitor.

You're not carrying the case around, so why would you care if it's heavy?

You should care about how well you can route wires (cable management), how well the fans can draw air in (if they have lots of glass do they have channels for fans to suck air in or not?), if they require tools or not, how many locations to mount drives they have, how the the screws that hold the glass are, if there's dust filters or not, and lots of other things.

Weight should be the least important thing.

Honestly when i read your original post the first thought was "oh,this is the kind of post with almost no information or something super obvious that spammers post, only to edit the message a few days later and add links to the message for spam and seo purposes" ... but then I saw you have 1000+ posts so if you got so far either you're super spammer or it's just a silly thread.

For compact systems, portability is a concern.  Some people build computers with frequent traveling in mind.

Honestly, you're either being unnecessarily rude or analyzing into details that don't matter.

LAN party. :)  Ever tried carrying a system built in a Cosmos to one of those?  You'd need a forklift.

There are other reasons too.  For instance, standing desks are becoming increasingly popular, and it's very convenient to have the PC mounted to the bottom of the desk.  When you're mounting a PC, you do have to watch the weight to make sure the mount you use can support it.

Your case happened to be the lightest of the many I compared :)
