Star Citizen Performance Metrics (Telemetry)

Carclis

Hi all. I haven't been keeping up to date with the development of this game a whole lot but patch 3.3 seems to have made some great strides with regards to performance. Another feature I was made aware of was the telemetry page which indicates numerous hardware setups and what performance on them looks like. Be interesting to hear how performance is for you guys as I'm seeing typically around 70fps in the main port you spawn in with the very infrequent drop to 40fps. It's actually quite playable now.

Bonus picture to all those interested in how well the game scales with CPU cores.

It does seem to favor more "balanced" CPUs with 16 threads and around 4.3GHz but I'm getting above 60 for about 90%. Around a lot of AI like in Levski or at Lorville it drops down to 30-40FPS but 100FPS at Port Olisar are pretty dope.

Yeah, that sounds like pretty decent performance. I'm assuming you're on a 9900k?

I was on a 5820k @4.3GHz and I recently switched to a 6950x which I’m in the process of overclocking to 4.3 again. With that I did see a slight improvement and my 1080ti capping out at 100 fps on 1440p. Judging by the telemetry, 8700K with a 1080ti seems to be the sweet spot, but the database doesn’t seem to be able to list overclocked chips properly

I've been playing this game since about 2015, when The Verse itself was just barely Port Olisar and a couple satellites. I haven't played in the past couple of months and the progress in both features and performance are astounding. I used to pull 30-40 FPS on a good day. Now I average 55 on the ground, 80-100 in space. It's ridiculous.

Also, the planet tech is beautiful.

Yeah, I'm certain performance boosts were somewhere in the region of 50% for me for patch 3.3. I'll have to give the planets a look when I get time. Which one impressed you?
