Kali linux not installing?!?!?!

Hello.

I have a problem, let me explain it.

So my goal is to dual boot kali linux with windows, via an usb.

1. This usb is working perfectly and have been tested on other devices.
2. I insert the usb and i setup and install kali linux, but then after the installation the computer restarts and windows is starting... so i assume that i need to go into the booting menu and choose the new installed Kali Linux.
3. But kali linux is not listen in the booting menu, but i just installed it

How do i fix this problem?

Thank you so much for all the help i get.

The bootloader for Kali is likely still on your USB. Go into your motherboard's boot menu, select the USB stick/disk/ssd and boot from it.

Why do you want Kali?

While it can be installed, Kali is meant to run as a live session (off the usb)

I recommend a more mainstream distro like ubuntu or mint. All preinstalled packages from Kali are available on those.

System specs:

4790k

GTX 1050

16GB DDR3

Samsung evo SSD

a few HDD's

Don't do this. It makes no sense.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

It's not about discouraging him, it's about saving him the hassle of installing a distribution that was never meant to be installed and is not targeted at people who don't know how a boot loader works.

If he's looking for an entry point into Linux there are infinitely better choices like mint, ubuntu, elementary, zorin etc. All the "h4xxor" stuff can be installed separately on any of those if he really feels the need for it.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

If you dual boot of one hard drive it won't say what OS is on it. You'll need to know what partition contains what system. Sometimes this is even true with one system for each hard drive.

Is this like a threat comment? Are you gonna DDOS him with a system you can't get working? :P

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Either 12 year old or very insecure adult.

Kali linux is a penetration testing linux that was never meant to be installed anywhere. If you can't figure out the bootloader, you likely won't have much luck with any of the "hacking" software either.

Since you joined the forum you have literally only made posts about your issues installing Kali (and a post about removing your bios chip ?!?!)

For the love of God stop trying, Kali isn't designed as a desktop OS and it won't make you a hacker
