$500 gaming build?

iLostMyXbox21

here is my list..

i chose the 2200g because it is a cheap but plwerful processor

the RAM because it is 2x8 and also pretty decently priced

the SSD to boot my OS

1tb HDD because i already have it

2tb HDD for extra storage for recordings and my games (games i make and such)

gtx 960 cause its good as far as i have seen and it is as little as $70 used

case cause it looks cool

power supply has some good ratings, and nothing will be OC, so it should be good for now

primary uses:

recording CSGO

playing rust, r6, and pubg

playing / recording indie games on itch.io

editing recorded videos

game development

Yes. Especially if you find a PC with 8 cores/16 threads.

GTX 970 >>>> GTX 960

Not sure a 2200G makes a whole lot of sense when you are going to add a GPU anyway. Also if you are going for an AMD system I would invest a bit more into faster memory, since Ryzen really likes fast RAM.

since it is cheap and still good.. i decided i will use it just for the CPU, and use the GTX for my GPU

That's not the greatest deal tbh. Keep looking and you'll find a better deal. I once got a system with 8 cores/16 threads, a 660 Ti, and 32GB of RAM for $200 CAD.
