Insanely slow loading speed for Floatplane

I've been on floatplane for a while now and every time I try to watch a video on it it takes at least 10s for buffering before the vid starts and starts buffering every 5s, it's better when watching in 720p but watching in 1080p is simply unbearable. Is there anyone else having the same issue? The network isn't slow at all and all other streaming services work perfectly, except floatplane...

Floatplane is using much higher bitrates than YT.

I don't know the numbers and I don't use FP anymore but with 50Mb connection you should be fine unless the connection is unstable or you're getting throttled

I totally understand if it's slightly slower than YT with the high bitrate but the buffering which happens every 5s is literally driving me insane, i doubt im getting throttled and the connection is pretty stable

I am having the same issue, I use to be able to watch 1080p easily, now I can't 720p is just watchable. I have not tried to watch through the forum as I tend to go to floatplane.com. Any ideas?

Seeing that you two live in the UK, maybe that has something to do with it.

Are you using the same ISP, by any chance?

Just went back to HK and tested out your theory and you might be right. I’m using a relatively much slower Wi-Fi but hv no problems at all with 1080p. Might be problems with the servers of the video hosting service in UK

I doubt is an issue with my ISP as I have tried a different location with a different ISP(100mbs download) and the same still happens. Could it be the CDN servers? It happens whether I watch it here in the forum or through the floatplane website.
