My new Elgato HD60 Pro works good, except that anything red is blurry. mostly brightish red like the roblox logo. Or if i look at the google logo the first o and the e are both blurry. Is this normal?

Need screenshot. Are you using Elgato software or 3rd party one to capture?

So it shows in stream like that or preview? Or just in your monitor?

Chroma subsampling, or whatever the fuck it's called. That might be what it is, especially if the card compresses before you get the feed or it can't go higher than 4:2:0.

Most capture cards usually make use of 4:2:0 chroma subsampling to save on what is needed to compress in terms of color.

Then it's cable or connector issue between capture card and your monitor.

Take picture of issue, like with phone. And then contact Elgato support about it. Since it doesn't show anywhere but on your monitor, and cables work, its either connector on capture card or something in electronics for passthrough.

This is likely the case, only pro gear is capable of capturing 4:4:4, consumer level software is at best 4:2:2. There is nothing you can do about it.

I'm probably not looking hard enough but from the looks of it, especially since the HD60 Pro has a video encoding chip on board, it probably is stuck at 4:2:0.
