Newegg RMA

So i bought a motherboard and painted the heat syncs with out even thinking about trying it out. I know i didn't cause any problems because i was very careful but the motherboard is broken. Will Newegg take the motherboard back if the heat syncs have been painted or if i repaint them the original color will they go ahead and take it?

I don't think they will, because you would have voided the warranty by doing this. Although, newegg has been pretty kind to me in the past with returns (granted I never tried to return something I modded).

I am shocked MSI said that. But hey, good for you. Newegg probably will not if you tell them, but to be fair they might not know either if you just sent it in painted. But you might just want to RMA with MSI right away, might take a bit longer, but if newegg doesn't accept it and sends it back to you, it will take longer.

 If a took neon yellow and resprayed it then sent it to newegg you think they would notice, i just painted the accents white
