1866 vs 3200 DDR3

Hi guys I have 2 x 4GB 1866mhz Kingston Savage DDR3 Ram modules. They work fine for my day to day tasks and gaming for the most part.

Just out of curiosity what way do you think would benefit me when I go to upgrade to 16GB.

Should I get another 2 x 4GB 1866mhz DDR3 or get 2 x 8GB 3200mhz ram and sell my old modules?

Any advice and experience appreciated.

Good luck with actually runing 3200MHz on DDR3. My IMC on i7 4770k cant handle 2400MHz stable. Thats bad luck for me but you need to win silicon lottery with IMC to run 3200MHz daily on DDR3.

What is and where is the Memory from? The last time I saw 3000+ DDR3 it was around $400 for an 8GB kit.

I have G3258/4690K/4790K and they all run DDR3 2900+ on a board not known for RAM OC. They hit the final memory divider and keep going further with BCLK.
