Problem with overclocking

My gtx 780 ti from EVGA overclocks like a dream, i can get it to over 1300Mhz and 7600Mhz on the memory without problems in games, but when i run heaven benchmark it artifacts like crazy

Does anyone know why it's fine in every game i've tested but not in a GPU benchmark? Seems wierd to me

the benchmark loads the card more heavily.

Because your OC is not as stable as you think. Artifacting is most likely because of the high VRAM OC, lower it a bit.

@Jurrunio But will it hurt my GPU to play with those overclocks in games when it's only in benchmarks that it starts to artifact?

it doesnt hurt anything thing running the benchmark with it artifacting tbh.

Okay great, i'll keep my oc settings then for the more demanding games, as my gpu cant quite keep up with the newest games at 3440x1440p at stock speeds
