Radeon r9 270x to 4 monitiors help.

I could really use some help.

So i'm trying to create a workstation/gaming setup for my room. Ive got a total of 4 screens. 3 together and a 42 inch off to the right.

Im trying to get my Radeon r9 270x to make use of them all at the same time so if i don't feel like sitting at the computer i can just hop over to the other side of the room and watch things on the bigger screen or game etc.

I read that it was able to handle up to 4 screens at once.

the set up for the ports is

1 DVI to HDMI wire > HDMI in

2 DVI to HDMI wire > HDMI in

3 Active display port to HDMI adapter > HDMI in

4 HDMI out > HDMI in

It works fine with 3 monitors, and all of the ports are obviously built into the card itself to handle 4 screens.

it will detect the 4th Tv, but when i click apply to extend the desktop, it just keeps saying unable to save display settings.

Im trying to have all of them as extended desktops. if i disable one screen and enable another then i can get the other screen to work but id like all 4 at the same time.

So to sum it all up, what could i be doing wrong?

Specs: Radeon r9 270X

8gb ram

Amd phenom II x4 940

Windows 7

You need anouther active display port converter. You can only have 2 displays using dvi/hdmi/vga at once.

is there any that you could recommend?

is it even possible to do if theres only one display port on the card?

If there's only 1 DP port you would need a DisplayPort MST hub.

I was planning on buying a New PC that contains a gtx 1060, do you think that would be able to handle this task better?

Yeah, this is a clockgen issue, right?  This card only has two clock generators so it can only run up to two DVI/HDMI connections at once.

Considering the cost of a DP MST Hub, I think it'd be cheaper to just add another graphics card and use both at the same time.
