I Ran Aida64 on my 8700 with Cooler master evo

IamODIN

I need your advice on if these temps is good or bad..

i ran aida64 cpu stress test on my 8700 with my cooler master 212 evo and i got 75c max  68-71c average.

is that good? or bad

Also my case have very bad airflow lol

75c max isn't bad for a case with bad airflow, I would say those are pretty good results.

but for some reason when playing games while streaming my cpu temps shoots up to 85 or 88c

can it be the gpu fault?

I wouldn't expect it to be the GPU's fault unless your streaming software is being encoded on the CPU and all the GPU does is run the game. Usually it's recommended for streamers to encode on the GPU rather than the CPU.

max temp is 100c.

Those temps are due to the heat from the gpu going in the case, and 88c won't hurt the chip.

what i mean is.. the heat from the gpu which is being trapped in the case can cause heat to affect cpu?

88c is still pretty toasty if you ask me lol.. its an uncomfortable temperature

but 88c won't hurt the chip, it will last many years at that temps and you will replace it before it dies(most likely)

new case with good airflow could easily be 10+c cooler on the cpu

yea the temps are fine. Try the stess gpu's option to see how much hotter that gets it.

change the voltage on the cpu, auto is usually way too high, around 1.2v will be enough

the vcore dont go further than 1.2

what you are seeing is VID and from what i've read its always higher than vcore.

i'd still try to lower it a bit and see if it's stable, try to get it around 80-85, come summer ull hit 100, unless it';s already summer for u then nvm

Is there a space to move one to the front? That would help get things moving.

Yes, heat in the case can affect cpu temps. That being said, that would be consistent and not show up as spikes. What's your core voltage set to? If you haven't set it manually yet, I'd suggest doing so in the motherboard settings. Try 1.2v and testing for stability and temps. If it seems stable, you can lower it incrementally to lower temps even more.

What are your specs?

i will try lowering the voltage but keep in mind.. the voltage never ever pass 1.2v i did aida64 for an hour and it never passes 1.2v.. actually it was 1.1v average

What case and fans are you using? What model is the 980 Ti?

Take the 120mm fan from the top and mount it a the front, as close to the middle as possible. It should be blowing into the case while the one at the back blows air out.

Where do you get that reading? VID is showing actual voltages, might be that what you are reading is what its supposed to be. Meaning that there's some serious vdroop issue with your board. Don't worry, its not that bad but you can get even lower temps with manual voltages.

i have a second monitor so i can read VID and vcore statuses at the same time. and i've read that VID and vcore readings are different and that VID is always higher than Vcore and that most people get confuse about there vcore readings when its actually their VID readings they have been reading

Why do you have a 92mm rear exhaust? The case should come with a stock 120mm fan at the front and another 120mm in the rear.
