Cpu upgrading

So i have an i5 4590 and would like to upgrade...

Without me giving reasons. All i want to know is what is better value/more worth it for the money. That is all.

So

I found an i7 4790k for $400 used ... (I'm Australian) it sounds a lot... but in comparison 

I could get an i5 7600k for $299 however I'd need to get a new mobo and new ram and a new cooler which would bring up the price to around 900

Is the price difference worth the upgrade.

Or is the 4790k more powerful anyway

I have 16gb i upgraded that last year but i haven't found how to edit the signature i also have an rx 480

How much can you sell your current CPU for?

Don't pay $400 for a used CPU that's that old. That's a straight rip off.

Consider:

Ryzen 1600

Intel i5 8400

If you don't want to OC, why are you getting a K chip?

I'd go with the i5 8400, an Asus board, and turbo lock it then.
