PLEASE HELP MY FREEZING PC

GAMINGGUY

Hi,

I recently got a TV to use as a monitor. When I started my PC plugged into the new TV the resolution was all messed up and all that junk. Went to the settings and changed everything to 4k like the TV. Then I decided to buy an actual monitor and put the TV somewhere else in the house. Now whenever I startup my PC on my old monitor it freezes after maybe a minute, all the audio stops, the mouse won't move, and basically after 30 seconds or so everything works fine.

Please help me

Thanks,

If it's cold you could perhaps put a blanket or two over it, to make sure it won't freeze.

Hopes this helps :)

Or perhaps a space heater.

In all seriousness, try to see if the old resolution from the TV is still in settings.

When I go to the settings it says 1920x1080 like its supposed to right, for a 1080p display?

I doubt it, I have a GTX 1080 turbo, i7 6700k, and 32 gigs of ddr4 ram. Is it possible that it's just a buggy update for windows or something?

All I know is that it means Driver Display Uninstaller. (I think o.O anyways)

Yeah. You can download it here. Run it and reinstall your video drivers and see if this fixes your issue. It's worked for me quite a few times now.

Not saying that you sent me a virus or anything, but could I just go to NVIDIA and reinstall the latest update?

No, DDU completely removes the old driver, kind of "cleaning" it. Basically unfucks your GPU. Then you go to Nvidia's website and redownload the latest driver, GeForce experience, etc
