New build, help with cooling and choice of case and Psu

Okay, well again, I've built a custom loop in an Enthoo Pro M, which is the same case as the P400S internally. Put the rad up top and you're good to go.

Yes but externally there is a lot more airflow on the Enthoo Pro M.

Trying to upgrade my current 6 year old rig to fit the newest standard for the next few years. Right now I've decided to buy the 1080ti strix Gpu, Intel 7700k, Asus Rog strix Z270E motherboard, and 16 gigs of new ram( already have 16).

So my issue is cooling the new cpu because I've heard it's a very hot processor, never really done anything pc building related and I'm wondering if I should go for watercooling or just standard air cooling.

Also need a new case to fit my new parts in because the one i have is pretty outdated. Also a decent PSU to use both the new 1080ti card and my old Geforce 680. Also I'm running dual monitors at the moment. One is 144hz.

Would love a case with a window panel and that looks great.

The cost of cooling, case and psu is  not that much of an issue so give me your best tips!

not newest standard :/

wait for Coffee lake (21st of August) or go Ryzen :D

if you have to stay with this go with a H100i v2, a semi large case and a SeaSonic FOCUS PLUS GOLD 650W or the G3 650 or even the RM650x

Nothing is decided yet :) But if I decide to wait for coffee lake would the motherboard socket still work ? Or would I need to wait for a new one to come out? Also I might try watercooling then since it's appearantly pretty good! Thanks for replying this quickly!

If your watercooling go for the phantects p400s. Tempered glass side panel and will look great with your ausu mobo wich can sync the lighting of your whole build

It will be LGA1151 v2, not compatible with original LGA 1151. What are you doing with this build?

What about the Corsair Crystal 570x ? I really like the look of that case and it looks like it has nice cooling capabilities

yes that is good

with the P400S he/she recommended all it will do is suffocate your GPU and CPU even when water cooling

Thanks for the info :) will put it into good thought and I will wait for either a new intel or Ryzen series of Cpu's. With cpu watercooling so I could possibly overclock it. Also psu was nice!

Intel Coffee lake comes out on the 22nd I think? Zen+ will come out next year.

Why? Have you? I've used an Enthoo Pro M for a custom loop and it was perfectly adequate. Enthoo Pro M and the P400S are essentially the same case.

OP- you already have 16GB DDR4? Why? What are you upgrading from? A good quality 650W PSU would be plenty for 1080Ti and 680. Why are you reusing the 680 though?

DO NOT use a 7700k, regardless of what you do.

I've seen a ton of reviews about the P400S and I've also seen it in person and there are barely any vents. The vents there are will be blocked up by a single 240mm radiator. For the same price you could get better cases for water cooling.
