Try restarting your PC or manually set it as your desktop resolution.

Hey all, so I've been playing CS:GO on 1920x1080 for the longest, but I wanted to switch it around. I heard 1440x1080 is basically 4:3 but HD. I've made the custom resolution in my nvidia control panel, but It doesn't show up in my settings like videos I've watched. Anyone know why? Thanks :D

Use PCPartPicker, I mean it!

You can set custom resolutions though, its pretty much bunching pixels into larger pixels.Looks really bad compared to a monitor of the actual resolution, but it gives a nice fps boost.

4:3 resolutions can give more fps because it doesnt need to render as many pixels along the width of the screen.

It worked, thanks a ton. But I'm not using 4:3 for FPS boost, I don't need that. Crosshairs look like absolute dogshit on 1920x1080 in my opinion.

Nice to see that people are once again avoiding the question.

First thing's first: what cable are you using to connect to your display?

It's been solved :D
