PS4 on 144hz Monitor

Hey Guys,

I have an Acer XZ271 (1080p/144hz) monitor which works perfect for PC gaming (via DP Port) but when I try and use my PS4 on it via HDMI the picture is stuttery and I get an odd ghosting effect on any deep blacks

If I use remote play to access my PS4 via the PC programme its looks perfect but it only runs at 720p which isn't good enough

The only 2 solutions I can think of is:

1. Buy and Elgato HD60 Pro to use its instant game view function (£160)
2. Buy a PS4 Pro and use its remote play function as the Pro can do 1080p 60fps streaming (£330)

I think both of these would work but are expensive options

anyone got any better ideas, or know why this is happening

you could buy a 1080p 60 monitor for about 100 euro probably

120-130€ for a good quality 24" IPS/PLS display are more than enough.

I already have an old monitor that works fine for PS4 but I don't have the room on my desk for 2 monitors and my wife bought me the Acer 27" curved awesome sauce monitor for Xmas

other wise this would be a perfect solution

did you try fucking around with your monitor settings at all?

until my eyes bled and my fingers fell off

all for nought,

the better the ghosting the worse stutter and visa versa

the strange thing is using the remote play app, all these problems are gone - just 720p looks kak
