"modern" socket 775 cooler

Ashleyyyy

so i bought a used Core 2 Quad machine, with a q9550 in it, and it has a stock cooler on it. the cpu gets to about 80-90 degrees celsius...

are there any modern coolers that i can buy brand new that still support socket 775?

Quite many, actually. LGA775 was still used when many now common coolers came onto markets. You could get D14 and have Noctua send you bracket for LGA775.
