AOC i1601fwux for LAN build

Hello. Long time reader, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this. I have a LAN build in the node 202 that I take to friends houses and stuff. It the monitor I use there is a spare my friend has and it's only 900p and I don't wanna bring my 1440p monitor over every time because it's mounted and just a big hassle. So I was looking into portable monitors and saw that AOC has i1601fwux coming out next month. It seems fairly decent specs wise. 1080p, 5ms, etc... and the display and power are both from a single USB-c cable. Now my question is, if I plugged it into my USB-c on my motherboard, would it only use the igpu on my i5-7600 or would it somehow go through the 1060 I have in it? I feel like the answer is the first one but just wanted to make sure. Thanks and sorry for the long post.

it wouldnt work at all because the USB C on the motherboard is probably not capable of outputting through USB C, and if it was then it would be using the iGPU

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

Hmmm... interesting. Besides laptops, what's the purpose of portable monitors then? Btw, thank you for bringing this point to my attention before I purchased the monitor. :)

For laptop. That's about it.

Most people don't need portable monitors for their desktops because it's usually stuck in a spot, there's no battery and it's large and heavy. If you wanted portability then get a laptop. People who do LANs can bring their regular monitors already.
