Which of these two builds is the better Gaming PC?

AMD is cheaper, and you can OC, and it's got way more cores and threads, so it's way more better. B|

Up until today, I was set on the Ryzen build but I realised I never tried making an Intel build for a comparison. For gaming which is the better build and what should I go with?

did u try to go with a 1K or lower build?

Not originally but it's basically that now. Forgot to mention that I'm aware the SSDs are highly inefficient use of my budget but they were free and I already have those so in my excel budget those aren't included as a cost, only a part.

Yeah. Get faster RAM for Ryzen (make sure it's on the QVL list for your mobo), and you can mark stuff as purchased on PCPP so we know you already have it.

Yeah, I tried matching the costs of the motherboards and most features but as far as I can tell (I'm a total noob) I couldn't find one that had the same RAM compatibility. And sorry I can see how to indicate it now, will do in the future.

Thanks for the list, it's definitely more powerful than mine since I went with the 1060 but I decided to go with the 1060 as I've heard prices for anything above a 1060 is currently inflated and so I thought I'd wait it out on a weaker card and then upgrade when/if the prices for higher end cards drop.

Is this the correct way to go about it or should I consider higher end cards from the start and compromise to get them?

I'm actually quite likely to buy the HDD as a backup and storage for files that don't need the speed of an SSD but I wasn't sure about it yet and omitted it from my lists. That would give me 500GB SSD and 1TB HDD with a long term plan to get another 500GB as SSD when the prices drop within 2 years hopefully

Is the price currently higher than it should be or is it well priced? Also some other users were telling me the importance of multiple fans on my 1060 card for performance and thermals so how does the 1070 listed perform in that regard?

Go with high-end cards. By the time price drops, the 1070 will be so outdated you won't even want to buy it.
