"Gaming" monitor

Hi,

 

I am looking for a new monitor for my setup, and am stuck on deciding what would be best. I would like to get a further opinion on this as a deciding factor for what is "the best" gaming monitor.

What would you recommend as a monitor resolution and refresh rate?

I also have a 1070 and I run a 27" 1080p @ 60hz which is enough for me but a 1070 should be able to push satisfactory frames at 1440p 60hz or 1080p 120hz+

with that setup, you can do 1080p 144hz, 1440p 60hz / 144hz. you can also pick up a g-sync panel but be aware you'll be paying a premium for it

I think a 1440p 75Hz panel would be the perfect match, 1070 can't handle 1440p120Hz+ too well. Also a 75Hz should be relatively affordable.
