Nvidia gt 630 or gt 710

I'm running low on budget and need to play games, I had a zotac NVidia gt 610 2gb ddr3 which got burnt last week, now I need to choose between gt 630 and gt 710 1gb. which card to buy.. and I don't mind overclocking it. Thank you

Neither! Both are pretty awful for games, really you should completely avoid bottom end cards:

To sum up:

  1. Save up by using integrated graphics for a while if you can
  2. Get used cards if you can

Both are terrible. You have a few options though, buy a used 750Ti (better than a GT 1030) or look at brand new stuff like the RX 560 2GB, GTX 1050 2GB, RX 570 4GB or GTX 1050Ti 4GB.

those cards really arent gonna give you much...
just save up a bit more. with low end cards, their performance exponentially increases with only a small amount of money. also, but used. you can sometimes get lucky and find something like a 960 for under a hundred dollars.

Do you have an iGPU? Because it's probably better than either...

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

from the owner of a GT640, neither, you're wasting your money.

as for overclocking.. good joke, there's nothing to overclock if there's barely any hardware there out the gates.
