Newly built computer won't work with peripherals

I just built a new computer with the following parts:

Video card: MSI GAMING Radeon RX 480 GDDR5 4GB CrossFire VR Ready FinFET DirectX 12 Graphics Card (RX 480 GAMING X 4G)

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel Z170 Platform Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C16D-8GVRB

Motherboard: ASUS LGA1151 DDR4 DisplayPort HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 H170 ATX Motherboards H170 PRO GAMING

Power supply: evga 500b

samsung ssd 250 gb

Dell mouse, keyboard, monitor

when I turned it on for the first time, none of the peripherals (mouse, keyboard and monitor) would not turn on. I tried to plug my cell phone charger into the USB ports, and they started charging my phone so there it power going to them. I tried to take out the battery and wait for about 10 minutes and it didn't solve the problem. I've taken out the ram and gpu and turned the computer on with one of each plugged it and that didn't solve it.

What is the problem because I have no idea at this point? Are my parts even compatible?

Front panel USB or on motherboard?

Would that effect the power going to it?

  • Did you turn on the monitor, and plug it in?
  • Is the monitor plugged into the video card?
  • Did you restart after plugging in the peripherals?
  • Have you tried different USB ports?
  • Did you plug in power to your graphics card?

Yes the monitor is both plugged in and turned on, when I turn the computer on, it just stays in power saving mode like it has no signal going to it

The monitor is not HDMI it has the screws on both sides of the plug and plugs into the motherboard

I have restarted many times

Yes I have tried all of them

the power to my graphic card is plugged in as well

No, your motherboard is not compatible with your CPU. You wouldn't even be able to fit it in.

I called into the asks tech support, and when going through the steps, I tried one of my rams and I got the following beep code: (1 short, 1 long, 3 long). The guy on the phone told me that the motherboard was bad and to get it replaced for a new one. Could it also be that one of the rams it bad?
