Manual Galaxy S7 Screen Lock

Go to solution Solved by TheKDub,

Click the power button to lock the phone?

I'm getting tired of accidentally misclicking stuff while listening to music on YouTube when I try returning my phone to it's pocket. This happens even if it's just the palm of my hand that barely touches the edge of screen. I know there's a screen lock feature with numerous unlocking choices. What I'm looking for is a way to manually lock my phones screen when I'm done with it. Similar to how I could move a lock slider button on my old Sony CD or MP3 player. Does anyone know how I can set something similar up?

are you accidentally locking or unlocking? it's unclear.

EDIT: NVM I got it. you want touch input to be ignored in certain scenarios so you don't mess up stuff on your phone when it's on in your pocket.

my s6 edge plus has a feature that when in dark spots, such as a pocket, it will prevent it from accidentially turning on... Sounds like this might be what you need...

go to settings > Display> then at the bottom, (at least on mine) there is a slider that says keep screen turned off.

I didn't even know it did that lol thanks, I'll also enable swipe to unlock & that should fix it.

When I had that enabled in the very beginning it was glitching really bad. Like if the screen went off due to inactivity, upon me hitting the home button it'd flash on then back off. This would happen several times before the screen finally decided to stay on.
