4770k is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overpriced imo

I've usually seen them around 230ish, and usually lower

decent price on the maximus hero though

a 4790k would probably be a better option, as the 4770k ran super hot, similar to the 7700k

Snorlax: i7 5820k @4.5ghz, Asus X99 Pro, 32gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 2666, Cryorig R1 Ultimate, Samsung 850 evo 500gb, Asus GTX 1080 ROG Strix, Corsair RM850x, NZXT H440, Hue+

Smallsnor: Huawei Matebook X

cheapest 4790k in my area is around $360

Really the 4770k ran hotter than 4790k?  can you get me some videos/link showing that

yeah that seems a bit overpriced for the 4770k. you could buy a 1600x for that price.

i thought about that but
1. There arent enough reviews on the cheap b350 motherboards

2. i would have to spend a LOT more to get 16gb of DDR4 ram, by sticking with a ddr3 platform i can re-use my current ram and spend less for an upgrade

it would have to be the cheapest-most stable motherboard. the cheapest i see is $99 CAD

even with a cheap motherboard it would leave me no room in my budget for ram

my second point was more crucial though, about having to spend money on ddr4 ram

I guess this would fit the budget, but only before tax adds another $60~ish
