Laptop suggestions needed

Dear reader, thanks for stumbling upon my topic.

The question I have is this one: I need a laptop, that is powerful enough to handle semi-graphical and CPU intensive workloads for things such as video rendering, photoshopping and some decent number-crunching.

The laptop is going to be for my (school) work but don't let that be a sign of not needing the power since I am a graphical designer and have to do projects such as video filming and editing.

The problem I have is that most laptops that meet the kind of specs that I am looking for are mostly large and unwieldy with the 'gamer' aesthetic, I am looking for something a bit more portable and professional looking without resorting to purchasing a MacBook since that life just isn't for me.

The laptop doesn't need to have dual 1080's but something decent would suffice, I don't think a 940m would do.

For I/O I'm not asking much, let's say nothing too legacy, some usb-3.1's, a C-port and an SD reader are a must for me.

The panel must at least be 1080p and have a good color gamut.

I am not looking for any sort of price range right now because I want to have all possible suggestions open.

Thanks for reading and I hope to see many replies :)

xps 13/15 is my go for a laptop like that.

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

For around $1500-$2000 US, you can get a nice ASUS laptop with a 1060, i7, and 16GB RAM. Plus is that you can get ones that look like a normal laptop, not an Alienware monster laptop.

The EVGA SC17 would also be a great option, its a bit more on the pricey side, but it is a 4k panel
