Operant conditioning chamber ( or skinner box)

I am taking a psychology course and would like to put together a skinner box. The box itself wont be of much issue to build , however i need advice in the electronics. I need to make a device that will drop food pellets when a leaver is pressed within the box

Why do you need electronics for this?

a lever is pressed? I thought they were pulled, but anyway you could probably do this without making it all fancy and using electronics. 

The only reason I'm here is that I have homework that I don't want to do

I was thinking id need a servo to dispense the food pellets , but if there is a easier way let me know
