Ok thanks man it found something called pagefile.sys

Bullseye it's 22 GB... I suppose it's safe to delete yeah?

Also found something less significant but it's still 6.4 GB and it's called hiberfil.sys. Can I delete that too?

You need your pagefile, but it shouldn't be bigger than 3-4GB.  Take a look at my post here for changing the size.

Your hyberfil.sys file is the copy of your RAM that Windows creates when your computer goes into hibernation mode.  If you can delete it (it's probably protected), it will just create a new one as soon as you put your computer in hibernation/sleep.  It's best to leave it alone.

Hello guys,

I have recently seen 20 GB of my space get used up by something I cannot account. I tried searching every hidden location and non-hidden ones and the usage doesn't add up: there are 20 GB missing and on a 250 GB SSD, it's non-negligible too. Any of you have any ideas? All help is appreciated.

PS: I won't be active for 10 hours or so, I will try to reply to all of you as soon as I can.

Also when did this happen and what OS are you using?  I know if you updated Win10 with the new anniversary edition, it puts a 'Windows.old' folder in your C:\ to revert back to, that is usually around 20GB.  You'll probably have to change the ownership of the folder and update your username as the owner, but you can delete the folder if you're not planning on reverting back.

If that's not the problem, we'l need more specifics.
