Need help with upgrading

Hi there,

So a few years back, when I was young and naive, I decided to get a gaming rig. Not a gaming rig I built myself but a gaming rig built by Alienware, I know..

However after a two years of having a great time it started to act up. Now after 1,5 more years I am looking to upgrade, if possible. I have no idea if it's possible to upgrade an Alienware desktop and if I can use the same motherboard. But I simply don't have the money to buy a whole new rig. What parts should I replace and what should I keep?

Thanks in advance,

2Girls1Dirk

Wat. A 4770 is Very fine still.

Replace the 670 with a used 980 or something and you are golden .

The problem is, the tower of this Alienware is really really small, so I will have to get a new tower aswell probably. However I am a bit hestitant to take out the original motherboard and put it in a new tower.

Edit: Oh yeah and that's why I haven't bought a SSD yet because it just doesn't fit.

Getting a SSD will be your best bet.
After that you can get a new GPU. Some companies do small 1060's and the 480 reference is a small card.

It's not a race to the bottom.
