Upgrading PC

HeaT

Looking at upgrading my pc. Will be playing mainly Battlefield 1 with other "triple aa" games when they release.

Current spec is:

2500k@4.3

NH D14

Asus p8p67

8gb Ripjaws

Evga 980ti Hybrid

Corsair hx 850

Using the Rog Swift pg278q 1440p monitor and would reuse the PC case which is the nzxt h440.

So far I've came up with this - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Xnj7f7

The CPU and mobo are part of a bundle on Scan

Not 100% sure on the CPU cooler. Seen reviews for the Dark Rock which looks good for the price. Also interested in a AIO.

What are your thoughts so far?

Would want to reuse my old system so was looking at getting a new cooler.

Also would the nh d14 have the right fitting for the 6700k? I've had it for ages!

I'd say use the D14 on the i7 and get a cheap 212evo or something for the i5.

And yes, it fits perfectly. 1155 and 1151 use the same mounting.

Yeah np. And btw if you don't have an SSD I'd totally recommend getting one. At least a small 120gig for your OS.

well some AIO cooler are good some are bad. Often people will get a AIO if they plan to OC a lot or they just think they look nicer.

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

Feel free to pm me if you have a question for me or quote me. If you want to hear what I have to say about something just tag me.

I'm going to overclock the cpu for sure. I would want the quietest cooler without losing out on performance.

I've read good things about the Dark Rock 3, Heard that the Corsair AIOs are good but can be loud and just seen that the kraken x62 is coming out early next month.

Decisions!!

Corsairs coolers are meh, a 280mm cooler is really nice, so that would be the X61 and most likely the X62, but I have no idea how well the X62 will performe
