So apparently you have to change your main email ID for this to work.  Newegg wouldn't accept the promotion despite them already having my edu email from signing up for their Student Benefits Program.

I couldn't get it to work personally, even used my .edu address instead of my personal one now. Says the promo code COLLEGETOUR is invalid. Oh well, at least I got free prime for 6 months because of Amazon student.
