Upgrading to 4k?

Beeeyeee

its been a long time coming but i'm ready to upgrade to 4k. i've had a 980ti since they launched and I do a ton of gaming and editing, what are your recommendations for good 4k monitors? preferably two with thin bezels.. but let me know your opinions:)

also gotta have vesa mounts, I want to put them on an arm later if they don't have decent stands.

yea....

i would do that but i cant afford it for my video rendering

but there is basically no difference in gaming so unless you are doing cpu intensive tasks i would stay away from it

i just dont have the money for both a new cpu and a gpu so i had to choose one and i chose gpu

(i still have a amazing cpu the 6700k)

still rockin my 4790k! haha its doing good but paired with such a powerful card it struggles sometimes. doing a ton of upgrades soon. i'm getting a 1080, a couple 4k monitors, the new Evolv Temped glass edition, jumping up to X99 and getting Be Quiet fans and CPU cooler. basically everything.. :P

with news of the 1080 and talk of new 4k 120hz capable DP wouldn't it make sense to wait and see what awesome 120hz 4k monitor is around the corner?

60 htz is fine for me. i'd like more but I'm an editor and casual gamer. I prefer the larger resolution than higher framerate :)

Completely a personal thing. You'll have no shortage of choice. If anything the 60hz IPS 4k screens are cheaper than the 'gaming' monitors.
