Total vs Dedicated Graphics Memory

Go to solution Solved by dappy10,

Total Available Graphics memory comes from the Dedicated Video Memory (which is memory that your iGPU comes with) and the Shared System Memory (which is the memory that is shared with the system's RAM)

What is the difference between the "Total Available Graphics Memory" and "Dedicated Video Memory"?

On mine the total available is 2123 MB and the dedicated video memory is 128 MB

Some Desktop and Laptop motherboards allow you to change the amount of Video Memory Allocated , but it is directly drawn from the System Memory. It is directly related to how much System Memory that you have, that will allow you to increase the Video Memory.

Check in the bios, if there is no settings on your desktop\laptop, then you have a OEM board and those options are disabled or do not exist.
