Netflix deemed Canadian internet caps "Third World"

ttam

To everyone complaining about speed, Netflix isn't basing the statement on our speed. It's on our bandwidth. If you pay a mid-range bundle here for about $60-80, you're looking at great speed, but you don't have nearly enough bandwidth to use it, and our fees for each gig over that isn't cheap. Therefore, you could get at most a few hours of Netflix before blowing through all of it. Or from Netflix's view, you can't watch very much at all in this country. I get some of you get like 600kb/s down, but you have 3-4 times our bandwidth to go with it.
