Some prebuilts with i3, 4GB ram and integrated graphics running Windows 7 basic

 

But they aren't as worse as its monitor, those 18,5 inch TN 1600x900 make my eyes have cancer

My highschool is all over the place with PC's. They're all HP, but none of them are the same age. There are some brand new desktops that have half decent specs in the computer lab nobody ever uses, some reallllly slow, shitty desktops running Vista in the library, the computer lab that actually gets used might have i3's, but I'm not sure about that. All the teachers have a laptop running XP hooked up to their smartboards (which really confuses me because it's not like it's a driver issue. One teacher had to get a new one and 7 works fine with it. There are some Elitebooks with AMD APUs, which are some of the best computers in the school, except they always have trouble logging on. Finally, some of the teachers have been getting some new, really nice looking laptops, but I've only seen one teacher actually use it. My homeroom teacher has one and it literally hasn't been opened since he got it. It has a layer of dust building up on it. Oh and every student has a Samsung Chromebook, the silver one with the the Exnyos (is that how you spell it?) processor and 2GB of RAM 

 

TL;DR, my school's computer situation is dire

 

Oh, and my Vo-Tech school has a bunch of Macs for the Multimedia and Art programs, and some Core 2 Duo/2GB RAM desktops for my programming class. Drafting probably has the best computers because of CAD and stuff, but I haven't been in there.

In the computer labs, they have Dell Optiplex 990s with 4gb RAM and 2nd gen i7s. We also have some brand new Lenovo education series laptops for testing. But in the regular classrooms, oh god. OLD Gateway E-2610S with Pentium 4s. My Networking/Tech Support teacher said the problem is that in the district inventory system, they still have the original MSRP as how much the PC is worth to the district. Not adjusting for depriecation of hardware over time. So they still think they're worth like $500. They don't want to throw away a "perfectly good" "$500" PC and replace them. I mean I used those things in Elementary School. I'm a sophomore in high school now xD.

Oh also, the teachers use old HP laptops for everything. Pretty much they've been breaking alot lately, so when they break beyond repair, they get a new Lenovo.

Computer labs have dell optiplexs with i5's and 8gb ram win 7 pro. In the video editing/animation lab they have dell prescion t3600 with 16gb ram, quadro k4000, and a 6 core 3.2(i think) xeon.

My high school had pretty average hp towers, at university we have a mix, 23" dell all in ones with 4790s mobile CPUs and 8GB RAM. We alao have about 60 maxed out 27" non 5k iMacs, plus a dedicated render farm for 3d work since most of us use laptops on campus, and some of us also have desktops elsewhere.
